I did it once a couple of years ago... and I seem to remember it took two and a half hours (I'm not absolutely positive though). |

2.5 hours has to be wrong. Daegu is a lot further from Wonju than that. seoul alone is 90 minutes away from wonju. |

Yeah... but there's no where near the traffic between Daegu and Wonju as there is between Wonju and Seoul. |

About 10 years ago I rode that route once. Maybe three and a half to four hours. |

Call 1330 for intercity and express bus info. They got Koreans with good to excellent English speaking skills and a computer to look stuff up. I believe it's the tourist info line, but it helps me with bus info and I even used them as a 3rd party for translating a conversation using my cell phone. |

That website does not give the same info as I received on the 1330 line when searching the routes I'm interested in. I've used the 1330 several times and it was accurate. |

So what's your point? The time it takes to travel a given distance is directly dependent on the speed of travel. It can take longer to travel the shorter distance between Wonju and Seoul than the longer distance between Daegu and Wonju.
Have you ever taken the bus between Daegu and Wonju?
According to the website it takes 2 hours, thirty minutes from Daegu to Wonju... just like I said! |
