|
|
I'm in the mood for a FAT, SUCCULENT, JUICY hamburger. I was thinking about Hard Rock, but I know it may not be open due to some renovation project. Anyone have news about this? If it's open, wanna meet up this Friday around 11:30 - noonish? |

i'm with you on this one. i know a few of the waiters, and the excuse they were giving two weeks ago was "a technical malfunction." it's been a while, and i don't see it opening again anytime soon, the way things are looking. i hope i'm wrong - i love their pasta! |

It's closed? 1st time I've ever heard of an HRC going belly up. And Itaewon is a special tourist zone. It looked so brand spanking new and was the only HRC with a big stage at that.
Maybe they should had browned off those buns instead of leaving them doughy and white as snow. |

I've lived here for over 5 years now, so I was used to the level of service I got when I visited the HRC. On two seperate occasions I was using the bathroom and overheard tourists complaining about the staff's "rude" behavior. |

it hasn't been open long enough to warrant a renovation, and you don't need to close for staff training.
tis well known around the won that the owners (read Bungalow, La cigale) are in major financial trouble |

There is always Platters in Hyehwa (exit 2, turn left right before the park). The owner lived in the USA, is married to an American and learned to cook burgers, Philly cheesesteaks and other staple food for his 1950's style restaurant. |

It didn't help things that the place looked like it was only a souvenir shop sans restaurant. Nothing at all on the outside to indicate there is actually a bar and restaurant downstairs.
Tourist new to Itaewon: "Hey, there's a Hard Rock. Oh. It looks like it's just the gift shop. Where else is there to eat nearby?" |

That was my experience at first. I did make a return trip there after I heard from others who ate there. |
