I have a job offer near Hoegi , but I want to live on the 2. Is Wangsimni a good spot to live? By 'good' I mean 'po jang machas abounding". |

Wangsimini has that huge mall surrounding their train station. That could be fun I suppose.
That said, it's my understanding that the neighborhood around Hoegi station has a lot more food. |

Thanks for the heads up.
Being near the 2 is huge for me though, I'm really leaning towards Wangsimni or Sindang but I don't know what those places look like. Guess I'll just do a walk around. |

Back in the day lots of poor people used to live along chunggecheon downtown but when they sealed over the stream to build a road they moved all the poor people to the area around wangshimni/yongdap. Many of those families still live there and it has not developed much since then. That was untill the new emart/mall around the subway station arrived last year. Hangyang University is also close by so thats a bonus, near a university = cheap food. Sindang is a really good location, you can walk to the Dongdaemun area, buses everywhere and its famous for dokboggie. But yeah places can be had for cheap around wangshimni and I would imagine a little more around Sindang. |

Sindang has a lot of offal stores around there. An Emart as well and there's one in the new sang or Wangshimmi mall. |

Wangsimni is not so bad, now with the new shopping mall and E-Mart. Kind of old and run down around... I used to live in Hoegi, ugh. Such an ugly neighborhood, but has its charms. I lived near KyungHee University, so it wasnt so bad right there, but still. |

Wangsimni is on the up. Plus the IMAX you can get a 2 beer plus nacho special. But Sindang is a little closer to some better areas but only by 2 stops.
----Where is this dogbokki restaurant in Sindang? |
