Hello there.

I'm a sophomore at Cornell University, and this fall I'm studying abroad at Yonsei.

As a history major, the internship offers don't come rolling in... So I thought I would just spend the summer at my local deli... Sad

But then another thought came to mind: maybe I can find a summer job in Korea!

I know that one needs a 4 yr degree to get an ESL visa. But I recall hearing somewhere that with a student visa, one could work 20 hrs/week.

I responded to a few job postings, but I've gotten no replies... It seems like a college degree is really important.

Does anyone know of any way I could find a summer job in Korea? For example, are there any summer ESL programs for college students? Or would I just have to go to Korea and look around? (something I would rather not do in the case that things don't work out)

BTW, I have relatives on my mother's side in Korea, and I am pretty good at Korea (though not quite fluent).

Any advice, link, or whatever would be a HUGE help.

Thanks!

Going over with a F-4 visa as opposed to a student visa, would probably be a lot better. You might want to look into that.
