@Captain Corea
Yeah, read the comic. From what I hear, Moore's message from the comic is somewhat lost in the film adaptation. If you read it (and do some critical thinking about it), you'll probably complain that the movie is too dumbed down, but if you read it after, you'll probably think it's a cool movie but the book was slow-paced and pretentious.

IMAX is those large screens, sometimes domed, like they use in planetariums.

Where are the IMAX theatres in Seoul?

IMAX stands for "Image Maximum" and is a film format that uses a larger screen, higher resolution, and much better sound to deliver a great cinema experience.

"Event films" are typically featured on IMAX screens. Flicks like Watchmen, the upcoming Wolverine installment of X-men, G.I. Joe, Transformers 2, and a couple others are the kind of movies you should definitely see in an IMAX theater. It's worth the extra couple bucks, for sure.

A lot of the CGV theaters in Seoul have IMAX screens. Yongsan, Wangsimni, and one near Hyewha are the only ones I can think of right now.

Have a K-friend or a co-worker check out the CGV website to locate the one closest to you. Or if you can read Korean, the site is pretty easy to navigate.

If IMAX isn't your thing I highly recommend looking for a digital screen... I'm pretty sure there's one at Guro Digital... Not at big as Imax, but the quality is amazing (same the new Bond flick in digital... was wicked!)

I think Yongsan has a digital IMAX screen as well. The best of both worlds. Cool

I saw the Watchmen the weekend it came out and I was blown away by how good it was. It was amazing.

I had no idea it would be as good as it was. I was expecting your typical superhero flick with lots of action and special effects and a predictable good guy vs bad guy storyline. And the Watchman did have lots of action and special effects. But the Watchmen is no typical superhero flick. The Watchmen is much more artistic and dynamic, has much more depth and sophistication, and its storyline is totally unpredictable with an explosive ending.

If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend that you do.

Cool
