All I remember is a seemingly endless and totally flat continent of corn.
What did you find unpleasant? |

What the heck is Settle, WA? And why don't you ever use punctuation or capitalization? |

From Missouri. Been to Kansas and Settle (sic). One's flat and the other is mountainous. Nice people in both. Point? Also, the band Kansas is great!!

I used to feel that way about Nebraska. When we drove through it on the way to Colorado, it was like an endless hell with no good radio stations. But that was back in 1987. |

many states suck to drive through. Colorado is one. Yup, most of it on either side of the Rockies sucks. The East side sucks worse than Kansas. Denver is a hole to say the least.
Kansas is not a fun drive, I've done it more than 20x for various reasons but there are some gems within. Lawrence is a great town with some killer beer and good arts scene. Actually, spread throughout Kansas are artists and craftmen of all types.
Despite loving the mountains, I could live in Lawrence. Good beer, good music, good people, and some very good cycling. There's some great music that happens in Winfield Kansas too. Kansas has a good deal going on, it's just spread out. |

The state legislature of Iowa once commited the sin of declaring the sunflower a noxious weed. (I don't know why they bothered.) In revenge, the Kansas (the Sunflower State) state leg declared Iowa a noxious state.
The Renaissance Faire outside Kansas City is quite nice. |
