I'm thinking of buying a 50 inch PAVV (PN50A450P1D). COSTCO has them on sale for about 1,300,000 right now. Resolution is 780 I think, but I don't play computer games or watch any Blu Ray videos so I don't think this is an issue.

Anyone have experience with the PAVV series? What are your thoughts?

Is this a plasma? I saw a different model number but same spec 50" PDP for like 1,500,000. The price you listed is about as cheap as you can find online.

Samsung is generally rated higher than LG for picture quality and reliability. I was going to get a projector, but they are ridiculously over priced in Korea. I will most likely get a 50" Plasma, personal preference, instead.

If you don't play HD video games or HD movies why do you want a HD TV? You can get large SD displays/projectors for much cheaper.

Which Costco did you see this in? I went the the one in Youngdongpogu and they had a different model PN50A410C2D for 1,529,000, but you can find that one online for around 1.3

The PN50A450P1D seems to sell online for around 1.5 though.

The model you listed has "Ultra Daylight" instead of the other "Daylight", and an extra HDMI port.

I was going to order online, but I would rather get it from Costco for that price.

I run blu-ray on my 50", and it's just 1366x768 resolution (like the TV you are considering). It still looks excellent. With a 50", if you sit 11 to 12 feet away, you really can't notice the difference over 1080p.

I went ahead and bought it today and am awaiting delivery now. The COSTCO is the one near Mangu (Mangoo?) station. The actual price was 1,380,000, btw.
