|
|
We've heard about the bad ones; now is the time to recognize the good ones.
Do you know of a good one?
By "good," I mean one which meets the following standards:
Classes are conducted in English.
The Korean teachers set a good example by conversing with each other in English outside the classroom.
The foreign teachers set a good example by conversing with each other in Korean outside the classroom.
The students are encouraged to speak English to each other.
Every new word and grammatical point is used in conversation.
The class thoroughly learns what is on each page before proceeding to the next page.
Class is made interesting through songs, picture books, games, and manipulative items.
Not a requirement, but worth a hefty bonus point:
Regular parents' meetings are held, in which the parents are exhorted to practice English with their kids at home.
If you've ever seen such a school, write back and tell us about it. |

Not the private Hagwons - (money making, babysitting, fake schools)
Try the Public (Government) Schools -
If you want to know more - send me a P.M. - I till tell you how great it is - and if you want a job at one - I'll get you one. (I want to keep it secret - only for dedicated, motivated, good teachers). |

Hello, Yesterday!
No, I'm not job-hunting, I'm just curious.
I know that there's no such school in the chain that I work for, because the school where I work has been designated at the best school in the chain.
Hello, Radioactive!
I am defining a school either as a hakyo or a hagweon. |
