I'm looking at buying one of these, new. Can anyone recommend it or otherwise? |

Dammit, I thought you were selling one. You might have more luck in the motorcycle thead in off-topic. |

I've put 9000km on one of these in the last year and have very little bad to say about it. For a 125, the power-to-weight ratio isn't what it is on those tiny 125 Suzuki scooters, but better than the cruiser-style bikes that the delivery guys use. The fastest I've had it was 125km/h but that was down a slight grade with favorable wind conditions. Expect a top speed of about 115km/h under neutral conditions.
I love the high sitting position and being able to drop off curbs at speed with impunity (but I did shake the muffler loose once!).
There's no fuel gauge but there's a valve that gives you access to a small reserve in the bottom of the tank. So when it starts to cough, just reach down and flip the valve, then gas up at the nearest place.
I'm not exactly babying mine, but I am taking proper care of it. It still starts up right away without even using the choke. Perfect for mad-max-style warlike urban commuting, and stylish to boot.
Go for it man! |
