Going off the disabling apartment loudspeakers thread...
With or without loudspeakers, I'm always nervous about fires. Where can I buy a smoke detector in Korea? I looked in E-Mart and they don't have them. I searched on Gmarket and nothing came up- any advice?

Just search for 화재 경보기

Not sure if these need batteries or are powered by a separate source. I have seen them in Emart and Homeplus so do check again. Also talk to your school maybe they'll get one fitted for you.

Thanks! I think the problem was that I was asking for a "smoke detector" instead of a "fire alarm." Will check at Emart again...
