Hi everyone. I am facing what I hope to be only a very minor dilemma. Any insight that can be provided will be greatly appreciated! My goal is to not slow down the process of getting to Korea, and not confuse anyone that makes the decision on the Korea side of things.
I currently am a resident of the state of Florida. I've lived down here for about 4.5 years, and am planning on spending my last three or four months in the United States, back home in Cleveland, Ohio.
My question is, where should I have my criminal background check done, transcripts sent, and any other required steps done? Florida or Ohio? I am originally from Ohio, and will be staying with my folks until I leave.
I don't want to confuse the decision makers in Korea or anyone at the Korean Consulate with pieces of mail addressed to Florida and Ohio.
Any additional tips are welcomed. I thank you all in advance.

To keep things simple, use your permanent Ohio address for everything. Your folks can forward anything that comes to them until you move back in with them. |

Well my permanent address has been down here in Florida for the last 4.5 years. But I have sold my place and am liquidating everything. So even though Ohio is where I was born and raised, Florida is technically home. But I will not be residing in the state for at least three or four months before my target departure date/time frame. Does that make sense? Let me know. |

No, it does not make sense. You have sold your home and will be moving to Ohio for several months before coming here. It makes sense to use your parents address since that is where you will be living when most of the mailing between Korea and the US will be taking place. I said 'your permanent Ohio address' because I am assuming that once you leave the US you will be using your parents' address as your permanent legal US address. |

The address doesn't matter so much as the actual documents. |
