Best bet I'd say would be the stall on the 2nd floor of the Hamilton Hotel shopping arcade, next to Itaewon station. They do cigars, rolling tobacco etc. It's likely they have pipe tobacco, and probably a pipe or two too. |

Yes, as the previous poster mentioned, the tobacconist on the 2nd floor of the Hamilton Shopping Center.
I just bought a pipe and tobacco there on Sunday. The cheapest pipes are 15,000 won. The cheapest pipe tobacco is 10,000 won (Captain Black). The prices go way up from there, of course. good luck |

Oh, you WILL overpay. They know they are the only place to sell it in the country. Rolling tobacco that costs under 4 USD abroad costs 16,000 KRW there. |

OK
Also, will there be any problems at customs in Incheon if I bring pipe tabacco from back home, whenever that may be?
Is there a limit? |

I believe the equivalent of 200 cigarettes is Korea's duty-free regulation. |

A customs officer wouldn't know, either.
Do a search, there may be official weights in grams admissible with no tax. |

It's also possible to find the odd Captain Black and Skandinavak (sp??) pouch and/or tin in the alleys of Namdemun and the antique stalls behind Dongdaemun. I wouldn't vouch for their freshness, but they are much cheaper than Hamilton and smokeable, esp if you buy two or more. |

I just returned from the U.S. with ten ounces of pipe tobacco. There was no problem at all with customs. Good luck.

I used to keep Captain Black in an ashtray just to make the room smell nice. Love the stuff when it's not burning. Think I'll go try to find some. Thanks. |

I'm also a non-smoker, but enjoy the smell of cut tobacco. I bought a couple bags of the stuff a couple years ago and brought one with me to Korea. I would put it in a small burlap pouch, just like some people put coffee beans in for the smell. The other bag I kept in the States, as it makes a nice gift for tribal elders (Odawa); it's used ceremonially. |

Does it matter where you store the tabacco? In carry-on luggage or in suitcases? |
