|
|
Looking to leave NOW for Busan or Seoul.
Spoke with someone in Daegu last night; decided not where I need to be.
How will I earn a bit more with this Master's in English and years teaching experience?
I realize that, because I want to leave so quickly, my options are limited.
Any recommendations are GREATLY appreciated.
Been contemplating this for years.
It's go time.
Hoping to have a school lined up and my E2 submitted in one week.
Thank you. |

...this is just a ballpark figure, but a Master's degree is worth about 150,000 more a month, on average, and teaching experience doesn't hurt, though mileage may vary quite a bit.
Of course, with an MA and experience, you can qualify for more competitive/lucrative positions (universities, public schools, foreign language schools, competitive hakwons). In these cases, I would think you would earn more than 150k over average salaries, though there may not be such a direct correlation.... |

Right on.
Thanks much.
Last night someone told me to shoot for an after school program. Similar pay but many less hours.
Any leads?
Thanks again. |

| An MA is more useful here after you have a year or two of experience teaching in Korea. Then you'll stand a better chance at university jobs. The reason (and one of the few reasons anymore) univ. jobs are often better is the longer paid vacations of 3 to 5 months per year. |
