|
|
I recently got an E2 visa, but was unable to fly due to health reasons.
The school I was supposed to work at couldn't hold my position, so I lost the job.
So, I currently have the E2 visa in my passport, but didn't leave the UK!
I'm now well, and able to fly. Is there a possibility the visa can be transferred to another school?
And, if I have to reapply over again, will it affect it that I have already had a visa?
I'm finding it incredibly frustrating, my documents can't be returned (according to Immi), and the process is so time consuming to start over!
Thanks! |

The visa in your passport will expire 90 days after the date of issue if you don't enter Korea in that period of time. You may have to wait til then to get a new visa from a new employer. Transferring an unused visa is probably out of the question. |

Look at it this way -
You now have 'lots of time' (90 days) to find another job and assemble all your documents again. |

Oh, one more thing...

Immi doesn't have your documents. If they issued a Visa Issuance Number (which they must have, else the consulate wouldn't have issued you a visa), then they sent your documents back to the employer who applied for the visa issuance number on your behalf. So you'll have to go through them to get your documents back. Good luck. |

Well, I feared that!
I've contacted the school, and they have completely ignored my emails, so I think that is my documents gone.
I've just had some very bad luck!
So I have to wait until this visa runs out....that is a long time when you've left your job in the UK! |
