I read in another thread something about an election day on April 8th and treating it like a national holiday.
Nobody at my school has heard of it.
Is that specific to some province?
Anybody? |

My co-teacher told me it was on the 9th and that we got the day off.... And then came back a week later to tell me that there was no election and that she wasn't sure why she told me we had the day off, lol... |

Everyone in public schools in Gyeonggi, at least, should get it off. It's not an official holiday, though, as far as I'm aware. I have to burn a vacation day for it. I believe my co-teachers have to, as well. |

I am going on that day, but I will get paid. No vacation time. |

There's no way I'm using a day of vacation for that.
If it comes down to it, I'll say I was sick and that I called the school but no one answered the phone |
