Anyone notice an upsurge in the number of kids with broken limbs eg. arms, hands or feet? Seems like one in every one of my elementary school classes. Must be the weather.

Funny you should mention. I've noticed an epidemic of casts & crutches in my girls middle school this last week.

Same in my girls highschool - I had one in each class today! Biking/rollerblading season has begun, I guess.

Only seen one out of 1,500. Maybe my girls are too girly to be jumping off the monkey bars. . .

Remember, this is Korea. Casts don't always mean broken limbs. Kids will often get a full on cast for a twisted or sprained limb. I've had tons of kids with casts, but I've never had a kid who actually broke a limb.

Yea, it seems like there are 2 sets of crutches per class at the moment. I swear one kid has had a cast on his arm for three arms. It could be a fashion thing, like getting glasses with plastic lenses, so you look "smarter."

Happened to some students of mine. His brother thought it would be funny to twist his arm until it popped and cracked.

I once asked a class of adults how many broken bones they've had, and they all said 'none'. Either bull-shitting or there has been an uprising in cases of braindead kids.
