The LEI has their annual ad on eslcafe.com. It says SNU is the best university in Korea. For us, that doesnt matter at all. I will say that telling Koreans u work there is a big deal.
It is a bit misleading because you dont work for the university. The LEI is separate from the university and is really a unigwon, and could be compared to Pagoda and YBM.
They want a masters. If u have a masters, there are better contracts. Lets compare it to Hongik, which has 85 on staff. You pic your own schedule for 12 a hours a week, 5 months vacation and more money. Lots of other universities in Seoul have similar contracts. Kyungwon and some colleges are examples. |

Howdy Hatcher,
Long time no chat.
I'm not defending SNU's advertising strategy, but I don't think Hongik is as far above SNU as you mention.
For F-visa holders, okay, Hongik has some good opportunities. But I don't believe an F-visa holder can market Hongik like they can market working for SNU.
For an E-visa holder that plans to work legitimately, SNU offers greater earning potential with overtime. If someone cares about earnings more than free time, then SNU is going to offer more advantages.
Just one man's opinion.
