|
|
The website for the Korean consulate says the following:
As of November 17, 2008, the Republic of Korea joins the U.S. Visa Waiver Program (VWP). As a result, on reciprocity, U.S. citizens can visit Korea without a visa for duration of up to 90 days of less if the purpose of the trip is for pleasure, business, attending a conference, or visiting families or relatives. (Extension of stay is not permitted)
It also mentions that no documents are required for the C-3 visa.
Is it then possible to stay in Korea indefinitely by merely leaving the country and coming back in every 90 days? Is there a maximum number of times in a year that immigration is likely to restamp my passport for re-entry?
Thanks for any help!

I'm curious about this as well, some Canadian friends were doing that last year, but every 6 months instead of 3. No problems for them at least three or four times that I recall.

It is not a C3 but a Visa waiver stamp (B1/B2).
You can do them back to back without limit BUT
you still need onward or return passage and if you do it repeatedly they may eventually ask for proof of funds (to show that you are not working illegally).

I just have a stamp in my passport that showed when I came into the country and good for 90 days and showed the specific date it was good for. This was recently. |
