LG Telecom. As a foreigner you really don't have much choice. They bill you in English and have very helpful customer service too.

I got my pre-paid from the LG Telecom in Singuemho...
They don't have a great selection of phones but the guy spoke enough English to help me. I picked up the Samsung SPH-C2250 (ultra slim slider phone) for 110,000 won new in November. I just go into the store every now and then to load it up.

I would honestly just go anywhere that speaks some English so you won't have any issues. When my phone broke they instructed me how to go to the Anycall repair centre where the guy fixed it right in front of me at no charge (warranty). It was nice not having to rely on a Korean friend to help me out. I prefer trying to be as independent as possible with these things.

Honestly anything is better than dealing with those guys in Itaewon, I was too eager to get my first cell phone and went straight there my first day in Korea and got ripped off on a crappy phone.

I don't understand what "trust" has to do with a handphone-uh.

If you can manage to speak Korean, KTF has nice service. The only catch is that you need a Korean credit card. You might have to explain that you are allowed a normal cell phone plan, because I had to explain it a few times to the guy before he got the hint that I wasn't interested in a prepaid phone.

Like most Koreans I consider them all the same. The cheapest is the best. I just got a new phone 2 weeks ago for 1000 won. Very Happy
