Any advice on good places to go in Gangnam for a meal(first date/meeting) or coffee, that won't break the bank? Directions appreciated.

| I like taking Koreans to Dos Tacos...its some of the best Mexican food you'll find around...it's really close to Kyobo bookstore going toward Gangnam station from the entrance. Its kind of hidden down an alley beside a Tours Les Jours. Its about 8000 for a burrito. There are tons of coffee shops everywhere. I think they're like three coffee beans right around the Gangnam street. |

Dos Tacos for a date?????
I am sorry, I liked it when I went, but it's a really small establishment... noisy, casual and not very.. uh.. clean. |

| simply basing it on the response of multiple korean girls, one of them a date, and they all loved it...whats wrong with casual atmosphere and delicious food?....it is small tho ur right, but that gives the man a little time to sit and chat with the misses. |

I like "Story of Wine". Good wine and pasta, in an intimate, chic setting, but with reasonable prices (e.g., wine and pizza or pasta, 15,000won ish)
Within walking distance from Gangnam Station.

For a really nice place, how about the Taj Mahal (think that's what it's called), down the small lane near BK. It is quiet and luxurious. Meal for 2, without drinks, is probably between 45-55K.
Maybe a Korean won't appreciate the lamb, so be careful what you order. |

Agreed, not for a first date.
Gangnam has tons of small, nice cafs on side streets. If you go out exit 9 (I think--I'm pretty sure) and walk down the street with a bunch of shops, if you turn right on any of those side streets you will see tons of cute, small cafs that aren't too pricey and have a great atmosphere. |
