|

Ahoy-hoy! I've decided to take the plump for a public school position (mainly due to vacation time offered), but I'd preferably want to start in May/June, rather than the SMOE advertised late August jobs. It appears as if Gyeonggido public school jobs are advertised fairly frequently, but I haven't come across a Seoul public school job advert (other than the dozens of late Aug start). Are there special cases and where's best to look if there are?
Another question, is there some sort of end of year school break during July/August (like the end of year 6 week break in England)? I don't know how terms are broken up in Korea (if they are at all), but I imagine that may be a reason why teachers aren't employed during the summer months. I'm just guessing here, hopefully one of you guys can put me straight.
Cheers! |

If you can find a school that will hire you directly then maybe you can work in Seoul. Otherwise, you will have to wait until August. |

YOu might not have to wait for a job until August as it depends on how many runners there will be and if the school wants the runner replaced. Also people get sick, quit, you know. I got a job in July and know of others who have also started outside of the traditional dates. |

Mention to recruiters that you are interested in teaching summer camps. That should help get an early foot in the door. |
