I know this guy. He's a foreigner. He puts what appears to be whitening lotion on his face. He already has white skin, so it makes him look like a ghost. Worse, it sits in his pores and leaves white spots all over his nose. I wondered if it's some kind of medication, but I'm not sure.
In truth, I have great pity for this man.
Would you say something to him about it, or keep silent? |

Tell him in caring way,
Be like "Dude, you're so white, everytime you enter a room it get's a whole lot colder because your face is reflecting all the UV rays needed for sunshine to heat the room. "
Or like "Bro, you're so white, people take photos of you and thinking you are a Kabuki style street performer"
Or like "Man, you're so white, people think you are a walking advertisment for dunkin donuts powdered donuts."
Or like "Man, Michael Jackson look alikes are not popular after the 1980's"
PS. No offense to Alibinos out there.
But seriously, I knew a girl who had this same problem. An Asian girl in fact. She couldn't stop whitening her face. It was like a serious physchological problem. We tried to tell her but she wouldn't listen. And all her classmates would continue to mock her and she would be the butt of many jokes. If you really care about this bro/dude/man, I'd tell him like, "I think you have some kind of skin flaking? your skin seems to be getting whiter every day"
Jokes aside, I would tell him in a serious caring manner. |

I agree with the above, but if you wanted to know if it's whitening cream of medication, just bring up the concept of it and gauge his reaction. |

Whitening cream actually does liver damage so, yeah, I'd tell him. |

How about asking him about it in a way that shows an interest in it.
For example, "Hey man, have been wondering how you manage to keep such nice skin..do you use any creams or lotions?" Assuming he would reply yes, I would ask, "Can you tell me the benefits of such and such and where I can get some of my own? In this way you can get him to talk about the subject without coming at him in a way that may put him on guard as if you are making fun or him, or assuming he is doing something wrong.
While I use a moisturizer on my own face, I cant imagine a western man using a whitening cream. Perhaps he does not realize it is actually a whitener and simply misunderstands the label (If it is a Korean label) |
