I hold an F2 visa, currently work full time and plan to take on a part time job in the evening to earn some extra cash.

With part time jobs, is there usually some sort of contract? 2 recruiters I have contacted said that usually schools do not ask you to sign one unless they specifically insist. Is this the norm? Surely they can screw you then if there is no contract.

Only recently got my F2 so new to the part time jobs market.

Usually one does not have a contract for a part-time job.

As for getting screwed, make sure you get paid at the end of each day or on some shortish time schedule.

It's best to get hookups from friends of friends so there is some accountability in the loop.
