I love beer, but my waistline doesn't. I'm more into wine and
mixed drinks these days. Martinis rock.

Don't think so. I have seen wine kit websites in Korea though. You will
have to get a Korean to search Naver or Daum for you.

As calories are derived from alcohol, I reckon your "Martini" has more of them than a beer, easily.

Give Winekit Korea a go. There looks to be a few different kits available.

Absolute rubbish. The calories in the pure ethanol of a 40% drink
are totally different than the calories you would find in a donut or
apple. The calories in ethanol, or methanol, or gasoline refer to the
energy conversion from chemical to heat. The calories in food refer
to metabolized matter in your system. Just think about it. How could
a small martini be MORE fattening then a pint of ale?

Look at the calories (heat making potential) in a pellet of uranium.
Eating it would do nothing to your waistline, but the calories in that
would light up a city for weeks.

For what it is worth, ethanol has 7 calories per gram regardless of whether it comes from liquor, beer or wine. Unlike uranium, your body can brake down and metabolize ethanol molecules. Unlike beers and wine, with clear liquors you get those calories minus the extra fat and carbohydrate calories that the other two add, until you mix them with juice, vermouth or, lord forbid, cream of coconut. If you take in more calories then you expend you will store it as fat regardless of whether it is from fat, carbohydrates, protein or alcohol. Your body doesn't care.

Also don't forget that most Gin/Vodka Martinis are large drinks with 3oz of spirits in them. Over all, as long as it is in moderation, it really doesn't matter what your libation is.

I know, way off topic! Shocked
