So I have all my docs, apostilled etc and ready to send to Korea.
I have been sent a contract which I have signed and it is also ready to be sent.(The contract I was sent has the respective school in question on it and my name as well btw)
However, I got the public school job through a recruiter and the job is in a Gyeonggi-do public school.
My concern is: -
I have tried to get a mailing address to send things to with great difficulty, I have phoned and emailed, and although I had an email on Saturday saying thanks for letting the recruiter know I have my docs, no address was forthcoming.(The recruiter in question is based away from Korea, but does have an office in Seoul)
Thus-does the job exist?
Does getting a GEPIK type job not normally go through a central coordinator? |

Sorry, Beeston, I don't know how GEPIK works. But it seems to me that you'll need the school address for when you apply for your visa. So who are they telling you to send your docs to? The recruiter's address?
If you want to be professional about this, make a cover letter for your package listing the contents. Keep a copy of it and copies of everything you are sending, apostilles and all.
Keep all these records together in a folder and take along to the consulate when you go for your interview and when you go to Korea. Put an unofficial transcript in there too with your degree, along with a few extra copies of sealed transcripts in case you end up switching jobs mid-stream. Ya never know. |

Scan all the documents into your computer and send them via the World Wide Web. Easy and done. You need all originals when you go to the embassy including your contract. (Hope you made a photocopy of it). Do NOT send them via the post office or courier. |

i wouldnt sweat it just yet. the school recruiter immigration chian of communication is so poor i wonder how anything gets understood between all 3. your recuiter will probably have the documents send to his office in seoul. and he in turn will send it to the school. but make sure you contact him to make sure you are sending it to the right address. i wouldnt sweat the no contact either. your rectuiteris probably really busy.
send him an emial telling him everythign is ready to go and ask for the address. good luck. |
