I just clicked the air quality site and it says "unhealthy."

Geez, thank you so much, China.

Anyone notice the haze in Busan last night? Not only is it back after that nice little reprieve, it's worse than before. Longest sore throat I've ever had.

It's not yellow dust. The air is just unhealthy.

I'm looking at the Army site and the Korean air monitoring site and both list particulate levels >150 ppm. The Army lists the AQ as "Green" yet it falls clearly in the Yellow by its own definition. Yellow sand or not, PPM levels >50 are not good and 100 seems to be the cut off for safe outdoor activity.

My body protests when I cycle in PPM >100 but cycling is especially bad since I am moving forward quickly through the air and I've been working it pretty hard in preparation for racing. It's a great day outside but I'll ride my wind trainer inside today with the humdifier on and all the doors shut tight. Not perfect but it seems to help.

I haven't noticed it this year as compared to others when I could taste the grit and see it on my shirt or the dust on my knapsack. Knock on wood it continues like this.

What yellow dust? Skies are clear and it's very pretty weather. I noticed my sinuses are getting better since Monday. Check the ol' roboto air filter and no yellow dust accumulations, yet. Wink

China? I think the culprit is much, much closer.

Oh.. I was wondering if it was yellow sand or if I got my annual hayfever back.. either way, it makes my eyes itchy and ruin my makeup!

It's called SMOG. The yellow dust level is actually still pretty low (it's been hovering around 100-160). Try blaming the people who get in their cars and drive everywhere.

Some rain would help.

Yep, the air is extremely dry. This certainly does not help. I've never experienced a dry season in my life and my respiratory system is not enjoying it.
