So I need to come up with some sort of game dealing with "What are you doing" and "What are you interested in" questions. Anyone have any thoughts. This is for a 45 minute class at my PS.

I have an ice breaker. I write key words about myself on the board. The students have to guess the questions that correlate with the words.

Never try to play a game for more than five-ten minutes. Playing a game for the full forty minutes is like flogging a dead horse. It's a recipe for burn out.

Use BAAM. Just customize the game for your lesson.

How does this game work? I can't quite understand it.

Can I play it with just a chalk and blackboard, because the computer system at one of my schools is totally unreliable.

You are pretty limited without a fuctioning computer. You can't use any materials on that site. Just get a copy of side by side and use that

BAAM is great, but there's no way you can play it for 5-10 minutes. Unless everyone's on speed.

Turn the game into an activity, where they have to interview numerous students in the class, ensuring they're using the TL. By the way, the two questions in the OP serve very different functions, so you may want to focus on just one.
