Well, I seen thread on "I am going to marry a hot woman, and so on."

But seriously where do people find these women to marry. Most K women I see want me for English, sex, and cooking and listening to them. You try bringing up anything long term they run.

I always hear the great benefits of getting an F-2 but I dont see Koreans who want to marry.

P.S. I did have one want me to marry her so her children could go to USA school, and another one who wanted to go to USA and be a nurse. But I dont think those count. Since they don't want to stay in Korea.

One thing to keep in mind is that women don't marry as young here as they might in other countries.
If you're trying to find a 26-28 year old girl and marry her, you're going to have a long go at it.
If you're a little older and you're looking at the 32-34 range, you'll probably have to beat them off with a stick.

If a woman wants to marry you and move to the west, is that neccessarily a bad thing?

Not at all. But if her ONLY reason to marry you is to move to the west...well you can draw your own conclusions.

I too am wondering not that I'm in a hurry to get married. I've already been asked by the Korean wife of a foreign teacher why I don't go out and date Korean women. I simply am not meeting any and there are no venues to meet them in my local area. I'm finding the Korean teachers who are around 28 to 32 years old already having kids so they're taken not that I'm shopping at work, but just an observance. Guess you got to be introduced to meet someone here. I understand you just don't make friends on the street, but it takes a 3rd party to set you up for a date.

I've yet to see a truly "hot" Korean girl with a foreigner. Some are certainly above average, but a lot look like former hookers. Although some marry for love, I suspect many of these girls are damaged goods in some way. Why go through all the grief of marrying a foreigner if you don't have to. But then a lot of these foreigners should count their blessings that they are able to get a girl of any kind. I saw this short, overweight guy on a date the other day. He clearly had some hygiene and fashion issues and spoke with a HEAVY lisp. Everytime the Korean girl tried to talk to him, he would only mumble something curtly and spent most of his time looking at the pictures he took on his SLR camera. That boy would have been removed from the gene pool back home, but that's not the case when they come to Korea.

I think if you bring up the "long term" too soon, yes, it probably would scare them off. Plus there is the issue of family and how they will take it. Some families are fine with it, some freak out. My wife's family has always treated me well.

First off I'm sure they would run away from you back home too. if your trying to make a short-term relationship into a long distance one, that's your problem. It's (serious relationship) something that happens naturally and the fact that your trying to get married for a material benefit is likely going to scare most off, unless of course their getting something out of it as well. Am I the only one who thinks this guy sounds like a Korean, albeit one who's pretty decent at writing?

RT,

Maybe, the grammar did seem off to me. Are you saying we have a mole?

*wishes we could post pictures because Austin Powers comes to mind right at the moment*

This is totally not true. I've met all kinds of people on the street.

You may be in a bad area for it, but if you go out at all, you can make friends with plenty of Koreans (girls too.)

I`ve seen hotties on the arms of foreigners. GIs, TI wannabes and teachers. Maybe our standards are different. A lot of the time, a lot of the foreign guys look like they stepped out of their college dorm. Meanwhile, the Korean girl has the princess elegance look going on.

Same here, according to my standards of 'hot' anyway.
