I want to buy a 18-55mm lens for a Nikon camera...where can I go to get the best price?
I'd like to stay within the 100,000 to 130,000 price range but if I can find a better price that would be great. |

You should check prices on Danawa.com, enuri.com and gmarket.com for online prices. Lowest price is about 98k won for a Nikkor 18-55mm non VR lens.
Than head out to Seoul's camera district in Namdaemun. There are other places to buy cameras like in Yongsan electronic district and Technomart but Namdaemun will yield the lowest prices if you haggle with them.
To get there take Line 4 (Blue line) to Hoehyeon station, it's next to Myeong-dong. Take exit 5 from the Hoehyeon station. When you get to the exit take a right and walk down the slight hill. You'll have to navigate through the Namdaemun market, it's like a giant flea market.
Walk all the way down to the end of the market and than take a left. This is where the Namdaemun camera district starts. There are camera shops all over. Learn to haggle and if their prices are higher than online prices, than mention the online prices. Most of the stores always check online prices to be competitive. |
