I know it is "possible" as I've done it before with another friend, but this other person who lives in Thailand... I can't seem to text. I've tried the 00700 in front of the number... tried texting with just the country code and then the phone number. But nothing seems to work!

Has anyone tried this and it worked?

002+country code+area code (drop any leading zero) and local number.

This sounds about right... though I used 001 instead of 002 on my cell phone, and I can text my friend in Thailand. The 001 or 002 tells your phone that you want to contact outside Korea, but I'm not sure what the difference between the two is (if any).

Get your friend on messenger so you can check the results, then trial and error your way to success!

Using 00700 here and no real problems. Maybe a few messages haven't made it...but generally works.

This:

"Get your friend on messenger so you can check the results, then trial and error your way to success!"

sounds like the way to go Wink
