|

I see on the SMOE/ETIS website that there are four officially designated SMOE recruiters,
-Footprints (Ben Glickman)
-Korea Connections (Jay Lee)
-Herald Professional (Eunice Kim)
-WorknPlay Incorporated (Gloria Hwang)
I've had some contact with Lee in the past and he seemed nice enough. Then I went to the official website and saw there were three others, got nervous that maybe one is renowned for a higher success rate. Any reason to align oneself with one or the other among these four? They just basically steer your app to the real decision-makers at SMOE, right? Why do people get rejected from SMOE?
I'm quite ignorant about how the SMOE scheme works....any other details, aside from a recruiter recommendation, would be appreciated.
thanks

Seeing Footprints get raked through the coals for 9 scathing pages on this forum has been enough to warn me away. But what about these other 3? |

The SMOE recruiters will help you get your documents ready and will submit everything to SMOE. SMOE will make the choice on the teachers that they want or don't want.
In the long run which recruiter you go with doesn't matter since it's being submitted to the same office. Go with a recruiter that you feel comfortable with since it won't really change whether you're able to get a job or not with SMOE. |

Basically, they're all the same (with regards to PS). Pick one, e-mail your documents to them, they send it to SMOE/EPIK/GEPIK, whatever, one of those groups contact you for the interview, you get picked, they e-mail the contract, you print it out, sign it, scan it back in your computer and send it back. Recruiter gets their commission and breaks all ties with you and moves on to the next.
I don't even remember who I used 3 years ago. I just sent the documents, and SMOE contacted me and I never heard from my "recruiter" ever again. |
