I'm a little lost on the bank situation.
Last year it was nearly impossible for me to get an intl ATM or credit card but hear that things may have changed.
So, if you're looking to have access to you account outside Korea which bank is best???.....KEB, Standard Chartered......????
Easy to get ATM or credit card that can work overseas?....fees?
Thanks |

The rules apparently changed last year and foreigners can supposedly get ATM cards that work overseas now.
Standard Chartered have the best reputation in terms of being foreigner friendly and issuing a card that actually works overseas (especially the Itaewon branch)......I've had no problems using mine. i think other foreigners haven't had too much problem using theirs too (well, from what i've read on here)
Best Korean bank in my opinion is KEB. they insist that their Global card will work overseas even if you're a foreigner but I haven't tested it yet....not really expecting too much. The manager of the local branch I am at gave me her card and told me to personally call her if I experience any problems using it if I'm abroad (no, she's not hot ) |
