I finally made it to Korea and am at the end of the Purple Line 5. Any recommendations for cool stuff to do in this area?
Do you have any tips for quicker ways to get to Gangnam, Hongdae, Itaewon, and the other spots?

Hi Seul, actually they offered me that position too recently but I had to turn it down as it was too far from where I live currently. I know there are a couple SMOE teachers in that area already who might be able to fill you in on the details if you ask head office.
Bangwha is pretty far .....but as for tips to Sinchon/Hongdae......apparently in May there will be a new subway line (9) opening which will cut down the travel time to that area of Seoul (i think even Gangnam). |

Thanks for the responses. Just starting to get an idea of everything. I am making it to Hongdae / Shinchon in a little over 40 minutes going on the 5 and transfering at the green line 2.
I am curious how line 9 will be. I heard it opens next month? Looking at the map for line 9 that they currently have on the green line, it looks like it does not connect with Gangnam station but just north of it. |
