I've lived in a house I'm renting that's giving off electrical charges, or shocks. This is in Taiwan. The landdlady's blaming me, but I think she's trying to cover somthing up. Can anyone here give me some advice?

I think it's life endangerment. I wouldn't so much mind, 'if my landlady would admit' a problem. But she's trying to blame me for some changes I'd made to the front yard and possibly using malicious harrassment, or intimidation tactics(Her daughter works for immigration, called my workplace, etc.)

If it's true she's at fault, how much do you think I should sue her for? I mean, I'm not into suing others. But this is a classic Erin Brokovich(?) case, or almost blatant bs.

This is one thread I believe most people are going to let slide. I don't really blame them!! Tell them the following. Why would anyone living in any dwelling mess around with the electrical system allowing it to give off shocks etc. What would a person really gain from a scenario like that, other than free dance lessons when said person gets belted!! Do they think you sabotaged it to get new wiring in your place?

Try that? If that does not work, you got me brother!!

What do you mean the house is giving off shocks? When you grab the doorknob, do you get zapped? Is it the entire building?

Do you have access to a fuse box? Look and see if there's any tin foil/gum wrappers in there. Shocked

Really now, I had a landlord repair a blown fuse (in front of my face!) once with a gum wrapper he pulled out of his pocket. I had a microwave overloading the circuits and the outlet extension had melted. This was his solution AND he and his family lived in the front of the house!
