It's a public high school in school in suwon. from the website it seems like a technical high school. Location is Youngtong gu, Youngtong dong (not Paldal gu as one would expect^^) which is the new part of Suwon with lots of apartments, hagwons and expats. It's also the home to Samsung. It's kinda like Suwon's Bundang (being generous). Personally, I prefer the older part of Suwon, but you can do a lot worse.

Due to the nature of public schools, any more information than that will be misleading at best.

The "only" people that matter to you at a job are your co-teachers, P, VP, admin guy/gal and students.

Teachers/Ps/VPs/admins move around every few years, so chances are good that in the last year some or many of them have moved on thus changing the landscape completly. In the year and a half I've been at my school, all of those positions have changed.

I have just been offered a teaching position in Su-Won with a school called youngil elementary...i think. I'm just very thrown off by public schools because they aren't as detailed in giving you information about their schools or working environments or what they want from you, just, "when can you get here".

how is living su-won in general? i really wanted to be in seoul.

Check out the MANY other threads on Suwon. Read what I said above regarding how its almost impossible to "vet" a public school prior to arrival.

FYI, that elementary school is in the same area as the mentioned high school, so the information regarding that is the same. (Youngtong-gu, Youngtong-dong). It's about 20mins from Suwon station (which is 25-35mins from Seoul by Train: Yeongdeunpo, Yongsan, Seoul Station) and there's a bus to Gangnam from Youngtong (1550-1 if I recall) which takes about 50minutes.
