Has anyone noticed this? I'm fishing around for something possibly next February. I guess they are sensitive to the world markets. lol. Has anyone bought an international ticket recently? If so, was it a decent price? |

ha HA, my friend! I buy my tickets up to almost 9 months ahead of time. I don't go through Korean sites as they tend to rip me off. I go directly through the airlines. I have been getting really good prices lately. Just recently, my wife and I went to Australia (loved it). The airline tickets were just 500,000 round trip not including taxes. After taxes, it was 900,000WON with Asiana Airlines.
Seriously, people need not be afraid of purchasing tickets directly through airline websites. IF you know how to search for them correctly, you can get really good prices. |

The lowest I've seen is round trip tickets to the USA for 700 dollars. Two years ago, it cost me 1200 dollars. It seems there have been some price wars these days, and I've been seeing United with the lowest prices for the past two months.
I don't buy tickets 9 months ahead, though. Unless it's a busy travel season where I'm afraid I won't get tickets, I buy about 7 weeks in advance for the best ticket prices. |

Ummm Tickets to korea / japan are really cheap these days compared to the last 2 years i went to korea. I just got a ticket from Canada to Korea at 720$ 2 ways before taxe after taxe 900$ bought it from Orbitz.com . In the past few years a 2 way ticket for the exact same dates were 1500-2000$ ( for the cheap ones) with tax and insurance ( at least thats the cheapest i could find). Air canada has some really good deals too, 2 friends i know just bought roundtrip tickets to japan for 680$ canadian with taxes Toronto-Tokyo. Airlines randomly have deals soo if theres a specific airline you like just sign up to their newsletter. I get emails once a week with different deals.
I suppose it also depends where you want to go too. Korea and japan might be cheap to buy these days But some of my friends are having a hard time getting tickets to the middle east. those seem to have gone up in price substantially.
Suggestion , Just look around online and youll find something in your price range. Ive bought tickets from everyone of these at least once. They all worked great and they all have different deals which change daily. I was checking these sites for about 2 weeks until the price dropped by 800$ on korean tickets on orbitz.com. The sites i look at are
