Sorry, I know this can be a gross topic, but if you tried this, how did it go? I've been doing research on it lately, but I am most concerned about the colon flushing part...either senna tea or salt water does the trick..is one better over the other? How is easing back to solid food? Difficult or easy? Did anyone really lose the cravings for junk and sweet foods?

Yeah, it was great, but I only did it for three days. I got hungry.
The salt water was enough for me...no need for the senna tea.
I'd recommend doing it when you're not working though...I started getting kind of out of it, after a while, and my general energy level was pretty low.

As I said, I only did it for three days, so there was no transition problem with going back to solid food. I did notice some good effects though from the general detox, even though it was only a very short fast.

I've done this twice. I would drink the senna tea before bed and would do the saltwater flush in the morning. I really liked the flush because it was the only warm thing I could have. It tasted as good as chicken soup to me.

I don't think it would eliminate sweet cravings are you pretty much subsist on sugar (lemonade and maple syrup). My food habits returned to normal after a week or two. I think it's better just to stock up on healthy foods. When you get used to eating fruit in place of other sweets, the HFCS flavor seems fake and nasty and you won't want to go back.

If you do decide to cleanse, don't do it when it's very cold out, you will freeze all the time. The second time I lasted only 7 days. I had terrible headaches and just felt like I was going to die. Be careful.
I don't think I would do it again. Though, I do occasionally crave the cayenne laden lemonade. Sweet & spicy!

I tried it for a day last year and I was so hungry I couldn't take it seriously. I had severe headaches and felt like I was going to throw up. I've been eating less these days and intaking more fruit and veggies to prepare this time. I guess I will try to salt water flush at night instead of the tea.

Did you drink chicken soup if you were totally starving?
