Let's say you quit for another school, no transfer of visa but applied for a new one with new employer.
Would my new school call my old one to see what the reason was? Is this common? |

| Just curious if it's standard protocol for a new employer to call an old one if you're applying for a new visa. Somebody please let me know. |

| Yes, in my experience. Often, a prospective employer, will ring your last place of employment. If you were unlucky enough to get a bad report from your old school, you need to work twice as hard at the new school, to ensure a good reference, for your next job. In my case, my coteacher gave me hell, but I got on well with the VP. But I never asked for his cell phone number, & he transferred to another school. Koreans don't generally reply to emails all that often, in my experience. I didn't repeat that mistake at my current school. I have the VP's phone number, & the Principals. |
