If I accept a position in Seoul, I am hoping to have my girlfriend come over with me. She doesn't know any Korean, so how difficult would it be for her to get a work permit and find a job?
Wasn't sure where else to post this, but thanks for the understanding! |

How long do you expect her to stay here? For US citizens, the tourist visa is good for 90 days. On that visa, she cannot work legally. If she is not your spouse, you cannot sponsor her to accompany you as a family member.
If she has a diploma, then she can apply for a job before coming to Korea. Getting a job in Korea with no diploma, no degree and on a tourist visa equals working illegally. That's not a good idea in this country because if caught, there's detention (jail) during legal proceedings and deportation after paying a fine. |
