It's the only Korean food (apart from dog Smile ) that I haven't had the courage to try.

What is it like? Question

i've never tried the squid sundae, but i eat regular sundae, especially sundaeguk (the soup), fairly often. it's just kinda soft and meaty. try it - it's pretty good and there's nothing odd about the taste at all (IMHO)...

Soondea is great. Try to get the more expensive type that has a ragged uneven cut. Soondea Bokkum is a spicy stew made with Soondea it makes a great anjoo with Makoli.

It's not bad, but I wouldn't make a meal out of it. I've only tried a few types though.

I dig it, but like I said, it's not like good Texas barbeque where I can eat it until I puke, put the puke on a bun, and eat that until I puke, repeat. It's a good snack though.

Edit: Black pudding kinda sucks, but I didn't have it at the best place.

Yeah. It's a little too rich to eat a lot of. I usually just get 1000 won order of it.

Sundae is one of my favorite Korean foods.
The street variety is ok, good and cheap.
However, I highly recommend trying the real deal sundae restaurants (especially sundae-guk).

Also, squid sundae is OUT OF THIS WORLD.
My GF and I order it from Seokcho Smile

Wow. In all the time I've been hear this is the first time I've heard of that. Usually fresh squid makes me gag but I like dried squid with soju. What's the texture like? Does it have miscellaneous innards like the street soondae?

the best way... especially in places where they use angel hair clear noodles and a spicy broth... ranges from pretty good to awesome, depending on the restaurant... on the bottom half of my top-10 Korean food list... yummy

I'm told the mass produced soondae that you would buy on the street isn't made with actual pig's blood anymore. They use a substitute.

Soondae with lots of salt, liver and pigs ear is really good.

But British-style black pudding is better.......

There are a few things I wouldn't let them go anywhere near my mouth and soondae is one of them.. you'd pretty much have to put a gun next to me to force me to try it. Razz
