Is it impossible to find a Laundromat in Seoul. I don't mind traveling!! My problem is that I have a washer but after air drying my clothes they are getting bigger and not shrinking!
Does anyone know of a laundromat (not dry cleaners)!? |

There is one across from the Sungkyunkwan University main gate in Hyehwa. It's not directly across, it's down the street less than half a block. |

Near Wangsimni station, go up exit 6 and there should be one there or the next street over on the right, it's within a 1-2mins of exit 6. |

There's a coinwash close to my apartment in Wolgok. I started going there for my jeans and sheets. PM me if you want details about the location. |

There's one in Sinchon too. Where do you live? |

We need a location. These places are often hard to notice, but they are around. Tell us where you live and maybe we can help out. |

Farah2310 - She is partially correct. When you dry your clothes in a dryer, the heat shrinks them a bit. I have the exact same problem in air drying my clothes. it sucks. My boxer briefs are now knickers!
Also, the washing machines, detergent and stain removers are terrible in this country. I have had a stain on an article of clothing for 6 weeks. I have saturated that atomic stain with a remover each of the 12 times I washed it. The stain looks better than ever!! Dynamic stain remover - a novelty!! |

It'll actually be cheaper and easier to find a smallish dry cleaner shop in your part of town that will wash and dry your clothes than it will be to lug your crap half way across Seoul to find one of five coin operated machines in the country.
Don't approach the dry cleaners in the Lotte mart-ah; go to the ones on the side street alleyways with drying racks outside.
I think I paid 5000 for a decent sized load of cotton clothes, washed, dried and folded. It took three days for a load, so plan ahead.
Good luck |

Ding, ding, ding! Dry-cleaners are everywhere here. If you have more than a couple in your neighborhood, I garauntee at least one of them has an industrial sized washer and dryer.
Me and the gf live near Itaewon. For about 20k a week, we get all our stuff washed/dried/folded. In my personal opinion, it's worth the extra cash to not have to wait for everything to dry, then have to fold it, buy soap, etc, etc. |
