The FIRST EVER (that we know of) Hongdae scavenger party - Friday night to Saturday morning. Search high, low, and everywhere in between for lots of quirky weird stuff that makes life in Seoul so much fun. Hey, it's a Friday night and you're already in Hongdae - why not win some cash?

The rules are simple:

2 to 5 hunters per team
Each team must use one (and ONLY one) digital camera of record
Each picture must have the thing / person and all team members in it
Each team must have a cell phone (we'll call and check in to see how you're doing)

Admission to play: 5,000 won per person

1st place team: 60% of the take AND free admission to the next hunt (this will become a monthly thing)
2nd place team: 20% of the take
Booby prize (last place team): a cookie and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup for each team member.

Meet at Hongik University station, line 2, exit 5 (in front of KFC) between 10-11pm to register (just look for the sign), or PREREGISTER by e-mailing your team name and phone number to [email protected] before Thursday at midnight. You'll get a free clue by e-mail for preregistering your team

Meet back at Hongdae station in front of exit 5 between 5am - 6am the next morning and we'll download your pictures for judging. Winners will be announced by e-mail and Facebook - claim your prizes the following Sunday afternoon / evening.

There is another scavenger hunt happening in the Hongdae area on May 2nd. While you cant win money with this one, there have been great prizes donated and all the proceeds go to Little Travellers which is a very admirable cause that helps families from South Africa.
