Hi everyone, I've tried using the search feature but I still wasn't able to find an answer to my question...so here it is.

EPIK states on their website that to be eligible to apply, one "must have studied from the junior high level (7th) grade and resided for at least 10 years or more in a country where English is the primary language."

I've resided in the US for 10 years but started attending school from 8th grade. Does this make me automatically ineligible to apply for EPIK?

Thanks in advance. =)

I don't know for sure, but I'm going to guess that they'd use some discretion in hiring you. Contact a recruiting agency and apply through one, and they'll go to bat for you without a doubt. Aclipse and Footprints are two very reputable and high-quality recruiters.

How would they even know? As long as you have a passport from one of the 7 Blessed Nations (sarcasm) and can pass the interview, how will EPIK know where you went to Elementary School? It's not like they ask for transcripts from back then...

Ah...I see. I guess I'll try to contact a few recruiting agencies and see where I can go from there. I tried contacting EPIK by e-mail but so far, no response.

Thanks for the advice!

hah..you do have a point. I'll try asking one of the recruiters about it and see what they say regarding the subject.
