1. How often does one group (class) come to see you? (once, twice, three, four, or five times a week)?

2. How long is each class? (30 minutes, 40 minutes, 60 minutes, over an hour, over 1.5 hours)

3. Do you have any 2 hour classes with the same group of students? (by 2 hours I mean broken up, where you teach them 40 minutes, have a break, teach 40 more minutes, take a second break, and then teach the last 40 minutes)

It will depend on the size of the school. Some teachers at large schools only see each class once every fortnight.

I teach at two small rural schools. I teach the third and fourth graders once a week, the fifth and sixth graders twice a week. In addition, I have some after school classes..

Each class is 40 minutes long.

With some of my after school classes I teach the same students for 2 lessons in a row - 40 minutes, break, 40 minutes.

I hope this helps.

1. 5th and 6th grade, twice a week. 3rd and 4th, once a week. Advanced class (mixture of 4-6 graders), 3 times a week. Basic (remedial) class, once a week.

2. All classes are 40 min, except advanced, which is two 40 min sessions with a break in between.

3. My advanced class is 3 times a week of two 40-min sessions, so it's not as long as 2 hours but more like a little less than hour and a half.

1. Grades 5 and 6, twice a week. Grades 3-4, once a week

2. 40 minutes

3. I have one whole hour for grades 3-4, 5-6 in the after school program. A mixed class of returnees mixed with kids who can't read. A recipe for disaster.
