This is a long shot, but I figured I'd ask it anyway. I have an LG KU1700 <http://www.mobileisgood.com/phone_spec.php?phone_id=2627&manufacturer_id=28>. It has an mp3 player, but when I load my microSD with mp3s and plug it in, it won't play. It shows the files with correct names and everything, but when I try to play them it says they are uenexecutable files. I plugged my microSD back into my computer and the computer read and played the mp3s just fine, so I don't think it's the card.

Any ideas? There's one song that came pre-loaded and it's in a .dcf format. I've looked for converting mp3s to .dcfs (not ideal, but I'll do what I need to), and I haven't found much.

Your phone doesn't play MP3's right away. Chances are you need DRM MP3's. That means you have to buy songs directly from whichever music provider that has a license with your phone (Melon Player maybe). I'm sure there is a way to "Convert" your existing MP3's to the DRM format that will play on your phone.

I'm also pretty sure that it is a pain in the butt to convert the songs, as the phone company doesn't want you to load your OWN songs on the phone,, but to buy songs through them.

This is why I don't buy phones for their MP3 functions.

Until phones play video and audio without conversion I'm sticking to my PMP in one pocket and phone in the other.

Thanks for the input. I'll look around for DRMing my mp3s, but that almost seems comical since everyone else is trying to do the opposite, haha.
