Hi everyone,
In the recent storms that lashed Korea, the roof of Daejeon Paws was badly damaged. The roof had some minor repairs over a year ago, but it was not strong enough to withstand the heavy storms that hit Korea in the past couple of weeks. Some of the external roofing came loose, and there is now a large hole in the ceiling on the top floor. During the storms, water ran down to the first floor leaving sections of the ceiling and the walls full of water, and they are now becoming moldy. Mrs. Jung h...as moved some of the animals into other parts of the shelter to keep them away from the dampness, but that can only be a temporary solution. Mrs. Jung and all of the small dogs and cats of Daejeon Paws live inside the damaged building. To continue to provide a safe and healthy environment for the animals, Daejeon Paws needs to make external repairs to the roof and replace the moldy plasterboard on the first and second floors.
It will take at least 500,000 won to make these basic repairs. There have been some unexpected recent vet bills that have eaten into the shelter's reserve funds, so that is why we are making an urgent appeal for help with this unexpected problem. If you would like to make a donation to help with these badly needed repairs, please send it to Wooribank account #1002-240-455293 in care of Park Hyunjoo (박현주). Donations can be made from outside Korea to PayPal account [email protected]. Please just let me know if you choose to make a donation that way. No donation is too small. Together we can make this right!
Thanks for listening...Let's keep the critters safe and dry! |
