Idea: Dave's get together at Costco the first Sunday it's open in Busan!
We could even have a contest to see who could have the fastest time shopping and getting a seat in the food court. |

Let me know how that goes.
I don't want to venture into any Costco on a Sunday. I hate to imagine what a new one in Busan would be like on one.
On the other hand, it would make a good survival test for the daring among us! |

It's GREAT to have Costco in your area. It gives you many more shopping options. |

Totally agree. I can't understand why Busan didn't get one earlier. The two south of Seoul are Daejeon and Daegu. I'm sure the foreigners will welcome it with open arms.
I was just making light of the fact that Koreans seem to flock to it even more, especially on Sundays. I really think Busan could support more than one Costco, but am positive the one they get will be overflowing.
Maybe if all the foreigners went at the same time, we could have it to ourselves. Think of the madness if you had several hundred foreigners pushing carts and competing for food samples with the ajoshi's. Would that make a good survival test Tefain? |

Yes. Even for Koreans, Costco is a great store. Wait until you see how many Koreans lose their heads shopping there. |

Actually, if you get there when they open, it's tolerable. Sometimes they even have free donuts and coffee. Just remember, a lot of people are at church on Sunday morning and Saturday morning, if it's a school day, will be dead. |

| How about a Daves "who can make the biggest pile of diced onions covered in tomato sauce and mustard competition". I'd expect heavy competition from the local Koreans, they seem damm good at it. Must be because they use ChopSticks. |

I was at Haeundae beach last weekend and there was a Costco table selling memberships with a gift certificate for signing up early.
I don't remember the exact date but it's opening sometime in early/mid July. |

Without a doubt. Getting between the adjoshis and the sample tables could be the ultimate suicide run. |

Just make sure you get a "foreigner" cart. The Korean carts come with large boxes of instant coffee, large bottles of soju, and giant containers of gochujang because that's what EVERY Korean must buy every time they set foot in a grocery store. It's the law. |
