|
|
I'm looking for a weekend Korean language program.
My wife is not satisfied with me working 3 jobs per week and my recent MA program, which I started this spring. She doesn't dislike the money, but claims I am only doing it to avoid learning Korean. Every argument we have ends with her saying it's because I don't know Korean, hate Korean food, culture, etc.. I don't hate the culture. I just feel it's necessary to earn as much money as we can.
So I'm willing to give up my weekends, which are the only time I have left, to study Korean at least some.
Any suggestions? Thanks. |

Sorry, is your wife Korean? I couldn't imagine a better teacher than someone who knows you as well as your wife. Why not just go on a date together on the weekend. Think of things you'd like to be able to say in Korean, make a list, and then work on those with her. Make sure to include "my wife is beautiful." |

Depending on your city, trying checking the local YMCA. Though I can't say all cities offer this program, the Daegu YMCA offers a Korean Language class on Saturday mornings, at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. I would guess that if you are not too far away from a YMCA, there may be a weekend class offered.
Good luck - |

If you are in or near Seoul, there are Saturday Korean classes at YBM in Jongno and at Easy Korean Academy in Apgujeong(
http://www.edukorean.com/ ). They both usually have ads in the Korea Herald with phone numbers and websites. They are both about the same price too - around $120 per month. I attend the Apgujeong one and am pretty satisfied with it.
There's a place in Bundang too: http://academygm.com/ . It always come up on the facebook ads. |
