Hey everyone... I'm a 6'5" attractive guy coming to Korea to teach for the first time in August or September, most likely Seoul... How will people react to me at my height? I've heard that it will be easy to get girls and I wouldn't mind people expanding upon that... but also, how will the students react and how will other males react? Will things be easy for me, will it be a benefit? Or will being tall in a city of shorter people become an obstacle?

I guess it depends on where in Korea you are. If you give me an email addy, I can put you in touch with a guy named Steven that I work with. He's 7 feet tall and has been in Korea on/off since 1992. I'm sure he can tell you exactly what it's like.

I'm the same height. You're likely to hear "키크다" every three seconds and scare little children, sometimes into crying. Luckily the parents seem to laugh this off. There are lots of beautiful Korean women who are cursed with being "too tall" (there's a mystical height limit on beauty here) you'll be just right for.

Welll im sure you get attention where ever you go in the world. except maybe Netherlands and surroundings ( they're giants over there). I stare at tall people all the time even back home. Im sure most foreigners will be staring at you too =p.

I once saw a korean girl who was about 6'5 tall at the seoul central train station. I was totally starring at her. Maybe you 2 could get together.

You'll be taller than most (not that that's unusual for you, I'm sure) but you won't be alone up there. There are plenty of tall Koreans, too.
