Is it possible to buy roses in bulk, for maybe 500won each (or cheaper)? Some of the floral shops in Bundang charge 1,500-2500 won for each rose. I may need to buy 100+ and dont' want to spend 150-200,000won on them. Whats the best place to get them as cheap as possible?

Try and butter up a shop owner and see if they can give you a wholesale deal.

I used to work for florists, and like hairdressers, theirs is a closely guarded world.

Flower markets are a pre-dawn thing, so you'll have to go at 3-4 am to get a good deal. Where one is, I have no idea...sorry.

I don't know what you're up to, but just be sure to have them de-thorn them, could ruin things.

I can't help you, but I have to ask, why do you need 100+ roses? Did you REALLY piss your girlfriend off?

Are you going to the little boutique retail flower shops? There's also a road full of greenhouses where you can buy stuff cheaper, not sure if it's as cheap as you're looking for. The closest subway stop is Sunae, but you'd have to take a taxi from there. It's on that road that leads to Korea Internat'l School.

I think the biggest wholesale flower market under one roof is the one next to Costco in Yangjae-dong, and there's also a big flower market underground at the Express Bus Terminal.

No, I didn't. I've never bought a girlfriend anything after making her angry.

Lynns - Is the flower market near Yangjae the one right right in front of the Kia and Hyundai buildings?

On the topic does anyone know how common are blue roses in Seoul?

I haven't seen any but it's not like I'm exactly on the lookout for them.

Oh and OP i have seen bundle of roses. Usually ranging from 40,000-50,000 won. They were about 50 I think

PS. 100 roses is a lot, what did you do?
